Shear steel fibers are produced through a specialized cutting process that transforms high-quality steel plates into short, fine fibers. These fibers typically feature a corrugated or wavy shape, designed to increase the bonding surface area and mechanical interlock between the fibers and the concrete matrix. This unique design allows the fibers to effectively enhance the interaction between the fibers and the matrix, thereby improving the mechanical performance of the concrete. The incorporation of shear steel fibers significantly enhances the tensile, bending, and impact resistance of concrete and improves its crack resistance. When micro-cracks occur in the concrete, the fibers effectively prevent the cracks from expanding, and by dispersing stress, they help avoid the formation of macro-cracks, thus significantly improving the overall strength and durability of the concrete.

Shear steel fibers have a high tensile strength, typically ranging from 380 MPa to 800 MPa, enabling them to withstand substantial tensile forces and effectively enhance the tensile properties of concrete.
